One of the best experiences to do in Chilean Patagonia is this trek. The navigation of Grey Lake is undoubtedly one of the most wonderful experiences in Torres del Paine. The tour in the boat will allow you to appreciate the majesty of this imposing glacier, we will enjoy an incredible navigation where we can observe the most beautiful landscapes.
Another trekking alternative for 1 day. This time we want to take you to know another of the routes within the Torres del Paine National Park. The French Valley or French Valley is a trek that can be done as a Full Day only in some months of the year, since it is a route that is normally part of Trekking W (5 days long). We pick up the passengers at their accommodation and once inside the Park we begin with the crossing of Lake Pehoé and one of the best views of Los Cuernos del Paine. Here begins the 10 km trek (20 km round trip app.) to reach the final point where we can see the French Glacier, Lake Skottsberg and Los Cuernos. This is a medium-high demanding hike. It is advisable to be in good physical condition and be used to demanding hikes. Transfers to and from Puerto Natales are included.
You will navigate through one of the places that gave rise to what is now Puerto Natales and its surroundings, Eberhard Fjord, a place full of history.
The excursion starts from Puerto Natales, looking for the passengers in their respective accommodations. We headed towards the Cueva del Milodon sector located 32 kilometers from the city of Puerto Natales. We start our walk to the viewpoint over the Cueva Grande, with an ascent of 660 Mts, in which we can observe all our flora and fauna of the place. We continue our walk to the right side of the cave, 70 meters further, where the Ernesto Helmer Archaeological Park begins. From this point our tour begins in a private sector passing through condoreras, lenga, coigue and ñirre forests, arriving at the “laguna Sofía” viewpoint, from this point we will obtain a spectacular view of Laguna Sofia and surrounding mountains, where we can observe the place and contemplate the immensity of the landscape, accompanied by the gliding of our national bird “El Condor”. We continue on our way passing through rocky walls, full of fossils that date the climatic changes, glaciations that began life in Patagonia, in a few moments we will see the first cave paintings, they date a record of approximately 8,000 years.
