One of the driest places in the world you must visit: ¡the Valley of the Moon!
This trekking tour is at the same altitude as the city, making it great for acclimatizing to atmospheric and altitude changes. In the heart of the Salt Mountain Range, you’ll encounter incredible landscapes and stunning colors created by mineral salts that have been there for thousands of years.
During the tour, we’ll walk through and explore impressive sites full of history and culture. We’ll start our hike at the Duna Mayor, one of the largest sand formations in San Pedro de Atacama, where we’ll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the desert. Then, we’ll continue towards the Amphitheater, where we’ll find an extraordinary set of rocks with strange shapes that resemble the structure of a grand auditorium. You’ll be able to take photos and admire the spectacular views. To finish our walk, we’ll reach Las Tres Marías, a place where three stunning salt pillars rise from the ground. This spot offers beautiful and unique photo opportunities.
